Bayley Beats Lyra on Raw—and the Submission Is the Story

Wrestling fam, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria didn’t need a championship change to leave us with something to debate.

On October 26, 2026, Bayley defeated Valkyria in a No Disqualification Match on Raw. WWE’s official recap describes a weapon-filled encounter that ended with a submission.

The closing sequence matters. Bayley put Lyra through a ringside table with a flying elbow from the second rope, then used a kendo-stick-assisted crossface to make her tap out.

That is the confirmed result. WWE’s recap does not announce a rematch or establish what either competitor will do next.

A submission gives the ending a different emotional weight from a sudden pin. The discussion becomes about how far Bayley pushed the fight and what Lyra does after being forced to concede.

The stipulation also means the weapons were part of the match’s rules. Calling the result a disqualification or treating the kendo stick as an unpunished rules violation would misrepresent what happened.

A brutal match should leave the characters in a different place. I want the next chapter to acknowledge the cost of this fight, rather than reset both wrestlers as if the table and the submission never happened.

Bayley has the official win. The next useful test is whether WWE gives Lyra a response that feels specific to this defeat and gives Bayley momentum worth watching.

Did the submission make Bayley’s victory more decisive—or make you more interested in Lyra’s response?
