Stream Deck Neo’s Infobar Can Do More Than Tell Time
Updated: 10 hours ago
Creators, the most useful upgrade on your desk might be a small display you already own.
Elgato’s Stream Deck 7.6 lets Stream Deck Neo owners place supported actions on the Infobar beneath the keys. This is an existing software feature documented in a guide last updated September 22, 2026—not a new hardware launch today.
Previously, that strip displayed Elgato’s clock and page indicators. Supported plugins can now put live information there instead.
Elgato’s examples include Spotify track information, weather and upcoming meetings through Calendarius. The idea is to keep useful status visible while leaving the main keys available for controls.
Setup requires a Stream Deck Neo, Stream Deck 7.6 or later and an appropriate installed plugin. Select Neo in the app, drag the supported action onto the Infobar and configure it in the Property Inspector.
As a creator balancing music, gaming and conversations, a status display earns its place when it reduces the number of windows competing for attention. I’d start with one thing I regularly need to check, rather than fill the strip just because I can.
Would you put music information, your next appointment or another live status on that strip?
