Enshrouded 1.0 Is Here—and the Real Adventure Starts Now

After nearly three years in Early Access, Enshrouded officially reaches version 1.0 on October 15, 2026. Developer Keen Games confirmed the date back in June, and today’s launch represents the game’s biggest milestone yet: the point where its survival, exploration, combat, and seriously flexible building systems come together as a complete experience. Enshrouded
If you haven’t been following it, Enshrouded drops players into Embervale, a fantasy world swallowed by a deadly fog known as the Shroud. You can explore alone or bring friends, fight through corrupted creatures, and turn ruined settlements into bases that look considerably better than the wooden boxes most of us build on night one.
Version 1.0 isn’t simply a number change. Keen Games has discussed combat adjustments and broader performance work, while the new Sparkworks system introduces logic-powered creations. That means builders can create mechanisms and interactive adventures instead of stopping at good-looking castles. Enshrouded
That last part could give Enshrouded an especially long life. Survival games thrive when players have reasons to keep experimenting after the main progression ends, and handing the community more creative tools is one of the best ways to make that happen.
I’m always interested when a game gives players enough freedom to create their own stories. The combination of co-op exploration, detailed building, and Sparkworks makes this feel like the right moment for anyone who waited through Early Access to finally jump in.
The launch is confirmed for Steam today. As always, it’s smart to check current player feedback and performance reports before buying—especially if your PC was already close to the Early Access requirements.
Are you starting fresh with Enshrouded 1.0, or returning to rebuild an old kingdom?
