Stephanie Vaquer Just Made Her Own Title Defense More Dangerous

WWE went looking for one challenger. Stephanie Vaquer decided she could handle two.
On the October 5, 2026 episode of Raw, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan competed to determine who would challenge Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship. That plan fell apart when interference and an accidental strike pulled the champion directly into the action.
According to WWE’s official recap, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez got involved before Vaquer helped get them ejected. Lynch then accidentally struck Vaquer while going after Morgan. The champion responded by attacking both competitors, ending the match in a no-contest. Vaquer then demanded a championship Triple Threat against Lynch and Morgan at Money in the Bank, which Adam Pearce made official. wwe.com
Now that’s confidence. Whether it turns into a smart decision is a whole different conversation.
The interesting part is what this does to the champion’s position. In a standard Triple Threat, Vaquer can lose the championship without being the wrestler pinned or submitted. Taking on both challengers gives her a chance to make a statement, but it also creates another route for that title to leave with somebody else.
My proposed take: this story works best if WWE makes Vaquer’s decision feel intentional. Let her look like a champion who understands the danger and believes she can overcome it. There’s plenty of drama in that without making her seem careless.
For Lynch and Morgan, the question becomes whether beating each other matters more than taking the championship. That tension could create the opening Vaquer needs—or the distraction that costs her everything.
There’s no winner prediction being presented as inside information here. The matchup is confirmed; how WWE pays it off remains open.
Did Vaquer make a champion’s statement, or did she just hand her challengers the advantage?
